This is a very easy hike !! its all flat so no elevation, wide path through the beautiful red woods. Its two miles to an amazing reservoir, where you can sit for a bit, water break and or have some lunch and head back. Total is only 4 miles.
Please note: this is not from the main entrance on Sanborn road in Saratoga This is of Black Road in Los Gatos Hills. It can be accesed from Sanborn Road as well: pass the main entrance of Sanborn County Park and keep going 3 minutes till it dead ends. The trail head is on the right, a wide path going very steep up ! There is also not much parking here.
dogs need to be on leash (no longer then 6 feet, NO retractable leashes allowed in County Parks anymore)
-we need to pick up waste (poop bags at the trail head and garbage)
-No swimming in the reservoir
-no parking fee

How to get there:
From southbound Highway 17, take theBear Creek Road exit. Make right, on to Montevina, (you will be parallel to the highway but going in opposite direction, Then make a left on to Black Road . Go ten minutes or so and the trail head will be on the right hand side. There might be parking for 6 cars or so. Or park on the other side a bit further up
